We're honored that our work has been featured in pv magazine USA

In just three months, Bright Saver has gone from a visionary idea of affordable plug-in solar to actually serving dozens of households in the California Bay Area. Being featured in pv magazine USA — the solar industry's leading publication — at that stage was both humbling and energizing.

What pv magazine Covers and Why It Matters

pv magazine USA is read by solar industry professionals: installers, engineers, manufacturers, policy experts, and investors. It's a technical publication for people who already understand solar deeply and want to know what's coming next. Coverage there doesn't just raise awareness — it signals to the industry that a technology or company is worth taking seriously. It opens doors to partnerships, supplier relationships, and conversations with the people who shape how solar hardware gets built and distributed.

Three Months In

At the time of the pv magazine feature, we had been shipping to California customers for about three months. In that time we had already generated real customer stories, real energy savings data, and real feedback from homeowners who had installed our kit and watched their electricity bills change. That kind of evidence base — early but concrete — is exactly what a rigorous industry publication looks for before covering a new company.

What We Were Building Then and Now

Bright Saver makes plug-in solar NEM expansion kits for California homeowners with existing rooftop solar. Our NEM GO kit ships four 250-watt panels with a plug-in installation that takes about 45 minutes and requires no electrician. It starts at $1,499. In the time since that pv magazine story, we've scaled our customer base, expanded our press coverage to include The New York Times, The Washington Post, PBS NewsHour, NPR, KQED, and the San Francisco Chronicle, and begun working with legislators in 29-plus states on plug-in solar policy.

Three months was a beginning. We're still building. Visit brightsaver.org.
